Storytelling and Creative Writing: Stories have been published, novels and children’s books have been drafted, keynotes have been written and given, in addition to screenplays and TV pilots, demonstrating the power of storytelling in various forms. Podcasting: Podcasts have been produced - written, recorded and posted - allowing participants to share their voices and visions with the world.

The main component of your BLAZE experience is the weekly BLAZE class, which takes place most Thursdays from 7 - 9pm ET. In these classes, Susan Blackwell and Laura Camien will share curriculum designed to help define your creative destination, as well as provide tools for burning through creative blocks. In these sessions, you will also have the opportunity to share your work in progress in Creativity Shares. We’ll use a kind but rigorous feedback process to support you as you take the next steps in your creative project.

The BLAZE course also includes the following tools, which we consider a big, beautiful creative buffet you may choose from:

• Creativity Labs - Tuesdays from 5 - 6:30pm ET - Creativity Labs are open to the full Spark File Community and include a breakout room for dedicated individual work in a quiet, library-like atmosphere (The Quiet Car), as well as a break out room designated for works in progress that need to be shared aloud - think scripts, songs, stand-up routines and more (The Cabaret Car)
• Office Hours - once a month, Susan and/or Laura host Office Hours in the Creativity Lab (Tuesday 5-6:30pm ET) for real time questions and coaching support. 
• Voxer Community —This app connects you to the coaching team and the community. Think of it as a walkie-talkie in your pocket. Voxer is also used for sharing inspiration, resources, and questions. You may decide to be very active in Voxer or not at all—your choice!
• Thinking Partnerships - once a month, you’ll have the opportunity to partake in a Thinking Partnership. Based on the work of Nancy Klein, and the belief that “the mind that asks the question likely has the best answer”, these sessions allow you to be listened to and supported as you talk out any creative challenges you are facing. Again, these sessions are optional, but highly encouraged.

Laura Camien’s career has been dedicated to illuminating and celebrating the innate, authentic creativity in all of us. As a creativity coach, writer, speaker, Broadway producer, podcaster, and communications expert, she has made significant contributions to the creative industry. Laura's career highlights include serving as the global VP of Communications for Blue Man Group, building the brand from an Off-Broadway show to an international enterprise. She served as Creative Director and writer of Blue Man World, launched Grammy-nominated albums, led strategic PR initiatives working with renowned brands and major national and international media outlets. As Founder of Bridge Club Productions, she produced the original version of [title of show], co-producing the show all the way to Broadway. She is also a published playwright, screenwriter, and filmmaker, with her work recognized at film festivals nationwide.

As soon as you have completed your registration, you will receive an email granting you access to The Spark File - BLAZE portal. This is the hub where you will find a special welcome message from Susan and Laura, a “Tool Box” full of everything that you will need for the course including instructions, calendars, video links and SO MANY incredible resource materials to get you well on your way!

The Spark File’s BLAZE will be delivered through 3 different platforms.

All 6 months of live BLAZE classes and Creativity Labs will take place on Zoom. 

All course resources and video replays will live in the BLAZE portal on our sparkfile.com platform. This is where you can find all links, replays, handouts, resources in one place! A link to join will be sent after your BLAZE registration is complete.

The Spark File community will be located on an app called Voxer - like a walkie-talkie in your pocket. You can ask questions, offer support or resources via written message or voice message within the app.

The format of the BLAZE program ensures you have easy access to continuous support throughout your journey!

In order to participate in BLAZE, you’ll need to register, set up your payment method and follow the instructions you receive to get started. 

We recommend you have access to a laptop or desktop computer for live BLAZE classes (although Zooming in from your phone or iPad can also work). 

You’ll need a steady internet connection, of course, and the ability to use Zoom, access the BLAZE class portal where you’ll be asked to navigate our user-friendly membership portal, where we host all course content, lessons and action steps… And you’ll want to download Voxer from your app store to access your community. 

We also recommend an open mind, an optimistic attitude and the ability to take responsibility for the energy you bring into the room.

But that’s it! Clients connect from all over the world and have a fulfilling experience. As long as you can access the community through your device, you won’t miss out on anything. 

BLAZE course sessions Thursday at 7pm ET, almost weekly. We allow for holidays, vacations, etc. 

Creativity Labs take place on most Tuesdays from 5 - 6:30, again taking into account holidays and vacations.
